The South African Weather Service has issued thunderstorm warnings for Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
According to TimesLive, the warning was issued on Monday, with the storms forecast to last until Wednesday.
The SA Weather Service warned people not to take thunderstorms lightly and rather be vigilant, especially when travelling. Golfers and fishermen were highlighted at being especially at risk when it comes to being struck by lightening. People were warned to take shelter indoors and not under a tree, telephone or power lines.
These warnings and advisories are especially important after the severe flooding seen in KwaZulu-Natal last week, during which 16 people died according to EWN.
