Two South African hotels were recognised in the TripAdvisor 2019 Travellers Choice Awards’ top 10 hotels in Africa, putting the country on the map for first-class hospitality offerings.
The annual Travellers Choice Awards ranking system is based on visitor’s reviews of accommodations on TripAdvisor. The Oyster Box in Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal came in second place while the Cape Grace in Cape Town came in sixth.
First place was given to the Constance Prince Maurice hotel in Mauritius and Diamonds Mequfi Beach Resort in Mozambique, came in last at 10th place.

Out of the 2,400 reviews for the hotel on TripAdvisor, most judged the service and general experience here to be ‘excellent’. In a private quay between the V&A Waterfront and the yacht marina, with a stellar view of Table Mountain, the hotel’s setting is as striking as its interiors.
