It will be the group’s first international hotel in the Lowveld, with easy access and proximity to the Kruger National Park via Orpen Gate, as well as the Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga.

The Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit will have 138 rooms and suites furnished in a Scandinavian design and is expected to open its doors to safari-loving guests early in 2022.

The hotel’s bar and coffee lounge will overlook the vast savannah landscapes and drinks can be enjoyed at the pool bar and traditional lapa, with the majestic Drakensberg as a backdrop.

Bush-loving guests will be able to enjoy various outdoor activities such as game drives, hot-air ballooning and horse rides, as well as abseiling and tubing which can all be booked at the in-house activity centre.

There’s also access to the Amani Health Spa, two swimming pools, a fully equipped gym, a kid’s club and an equestrian centre.

‘The hotel will most certainly uplift the area with the credibility that the Radisson Hotel Group brings as the first international hotel brand in the region,’ says Gerrit Jan van der Grijn, developer and owner of the hotel. ‘We look forward to a flourishing and long-standing partnership with the Group and together opening the doors in 2022.’
