In case you still needed any incentive to get out and explore the country’s bountiful landscapes, entries for the Annual SANParks Photo Competition 2019 are still open.
The competition caters to photographers in two divisions with four categories in each; those with specialised camera equipment and those with compact or phone cameras.

These are the categories for each division:
- Fauna & Flora (wildlife activity, animal portraits, birds, insects, flowers, trees, etc.)
- Landscapes (includes seascapes, mountains and viewpoints)
- Lifestyle (families, couples, youth and people engaging in park activities)
- Photo stories (a series of three to five images, telling a story of an event, activity or sighting within a national park)
Prizes
1st Prize: Two nights accommodation for two at a national park of your choice.
2nd Prize: Two nights accommodation for two at the Golden Gate Hotel & Chalets in Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
3rd Prize: A Couple’s Wild Card Membership, valid for one (1) year.
Category winners will each receive a SANParks Activity Voucher.
