Gert de Koker, a regular visitor to the Kruger National Park, captured this footage of a pack of African wild dogs playing near a riverbed in the Park on 14 December.
Fixated for a moment while stooping to drink some water, three of the painted wolves got a bit of a fright and quickly backed off in unison after seeing their own reflections in the water.
‘They went for a drink and it was so funny to see their reactions when they saw their reflections in the water, said De Koker. ‘After awhile they just [carried] on playing and chasing birds.’
