Karoo National Park receives much-needed rain
Members of the Karoo National Park Facebook group were overjoyed when bountiful rain poured down in the area last night (Wednesday, 19 February). Some roads were closed and visitors could not cross without the help of tractors.
One user posted two videos, saying: ‘A total of 14mm was recorded. The river near the camping site came down beautifully, and all guests and staff had to wait till well into the night for assistance to cross with the help of a tractor.’
Others posted photos, expressing their joy as the area is known for being very dry all year round and any rain is welcome:
