Annual Clean-up and Recycle SA Week in South Africa kicked off on the 16th of September and ends tomorrow, on International Coastal Cleanup Day 2019. If you want to get involved, here are some beach clean-ups where you can do your part.
1. The Two Oceans Aquarium, which is hosting a Trash Bash cleanup at Monwabisi Beach in Cape Town
2. Kaskazi Kayaks is hosting a beach clean up in Mouille Point in Cape Town
3. Wild Oceans SA will host a clean up at Durban Harbour at Wilsons Wharf on Saturday from 11am to 2pm.
4. Hike 1.5 km alongside Grant Melville from Salt Rock to Chaka’s Rock tidal pool and participate in the beach clean up at 3pm. Trash bags will be provided and SANParks Honorary Rangers will collect your bags at the Chaka’s Rock Tidal pool at Ocean Drive across from Salt Café.
5. Sea Shepherd SA is hosting events in KZN, Cape Town and Jeffreys Bay
