Guatemalan circus cats arrive safely in SA
Seventeen big cats that were rescued from a Guatemalan circus arrived safely in South Africa on Tuesday 21 January. After implementing a ban against the use of wild animals in circuses in Guatemala in 2017, the government invited London-based organisation Animal Defenders International (ADI) to help enforce the law.

The 12 tigers and 5 lions landed safely at OR Tambo International Airport and will be transported to the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary, which operates from an undisclosed location so as to protect the wildlife.
