Eerily empty cities around the world

With an increase in countries implementing lockdowns to combat the spread of the coronavirus, images of usually bustling cities and landmarks are now eerily empty.

Kaaba in the Grand Mosque in Mecca was completely empty after Hajj was called off.

 

Ginza, Tokyo’s shopping district, is very quiet

 

Times Square in New York City is empty
