Cape Town Air Access has South America and Australia on its radar after successfully launching a new direct flight between the Mother City and New York earlier this year.
The airline, United Airlines, has said the bookings are in line with their expectations after just two months of being open. The first flight will take to the skies in December 2019.
In the last year, nearly 60,000 South Africans have visited Australia. No statistics are available for South African tourist arrivals in Brazil.
Cape Town has direct flights to destinations such as Vienna, Amsterdam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nairobi, Kigali, and Addis Ababa among others. The airport sees 5 million passengers a year, according to Airports Company South Africa.
