Nothing brightens a gloomy day than a funny animal picture. So if you’re keen for a laugh, take a look at the finalists of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2019.
The awards were created by professional photographers and passionate conservationists Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam to promote environmental conservation through a funny, upbeat competition.’None of us are perfect, all of us at some point will fly somewhere, drive somewhere, cook something, burn something and probably provide some direct input into the general warming of the globe. Indirectly, we will also have some impact on the animals that share this planet with us,’ they explain on their website.
Their hope is that those who see the pictures will start up conversations in their own lives about the ‘dire need for us all to be conservationists in our own little way’ and promote the idea a little effort can go a long way.
