World-renowned South African DJ Black Coffee will join forces with big names in house and techno on Thursday 13 September 2018 at Ushuaïa, on Spain’s party island Ibiza, as part of an initiative to raise awareness and funds towards wildlife conservation.
The event seeks to address animal cruelty and the worldwide poaching problem. Nightlife and entertainment company Night League joined forces with Music Against Animal Cruelty (M.A.A.C), a non-profit organization tht uses music to create awareness around wildlife conservation, to put this event together on Spain’s popular party island.
All the artists will be performing for free with proceeds raised to go towards two wildlife conservation projects, namely Rhino Conservation Botswana and Lion Guardians Kenya.
Rhino Conservation Botswana is working to increase and protect populations of black and white rhinos in Botswana, while Lion Guardians Kenya uses eco-friendly and scientific methods to collaborate with traditional Maasai (and other pastoralist community members) to help them acquire the necessary skills to mitigate conflict between people and wildlife. This is in order to help these communities to live in harmony with lions and be proactive abouth conserving these animals.
DJ Black Coffee is the scheduled headline act for the day with the other surprise headline act to be announced on the day. Other artists who will make up part of the programme for the day’s festivities include co-founder of M.A.A.C Jonny White/Art Department, Adam Beyer, Bedouin, DJ Sneak, Ida Engberg, Lauren Lane, Nitin and Tiga.
Founder and CEO of The Night League Yann Pissenem said, “We will not only raise funds for their cause, but we’ll also increase awareness about some of the truly horrific things affecting defenceless animals every day”.
