Situated in Limpopo’s malaria-free Waterberg, Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness comprises seven luxury tented suites, each with a private plunge pool, plus a two-bedroom family suite. The lodge is off the grid, which offers guests a truly sustainable safari experience within the 44 500-hectre reserve.
The sheer expanse of the game-rich terrain offers seclusion and a multitude of wilderness experiences for the whole family,including daily game drives, guided bush walks, a children’s activity programme, excursions to Lapalala Wilderness School and Iron Age and rock-art sites. With 27 kilometres of pristine river frontage throughout the reserve, the Palala River provides an opportunity to fish the crystalline mountain waters or swim in the rapids.
More relaxing pursuits include sundowner cruises and riverside picnics, birdwatching, stargazing and spa treatments, while the more adventurous may opt for a romance sleep-out experience in a remote part of the reserve.
