The newly opened Skukuza Safari Lodge offers ‘world-class’ tourism facilities for local and international visitors within Kruger National Park. The lodge boasts 128 units, including 87 standard rooms, 20 family rooms and 13 universal rooms with easy access for wheelchairs.
Visitors who want to escape the outside heat can retreat to the calm and cool of the bar, restaurant, meeting room or pool. There’s also a gym for those who like to keep up their fitness regime while on holiday.
The lodge’s sleek, modern interior has an African twist and is furnished with a grey and gold colour scheme.
According to SANParks, the Skukuza Safari Lodge has been built to widen the guest base for SANParks and Kruger National Park, and to provide accommodation for tourists and delegates of the conference centre.
Skukuza previously only offered camping, chalets and corporate-style houses. With this new product, SANParks hopes to attract the local emerging tourist market and draw international groups who are looking for a comfortable and exciting experience.
