Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is giving someone a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work for two weeks at the resort’s Marine Turtle Rescue Centre in the Maldives as an intern.
The internship is unpaid but flights, accommodation and food are all covered. This whole experience minus the interning would usually cost a traveller about £5,000 (R94,092,69), and even as an intern being in the Maldives will likely make it feel like a working vacation.
The internship begins in August and runs for two weeks. The successful candidate will stay in one of the resort’s villas situated either on the beach or in the turquoise blue ocean.
Full-board benefits include eating at the Coco Palm’s Cowrie restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are a buffet consisting of Maldivian cuisine. Extra-curricular activities such as a sunset cruise, diving, a guided snorkelling trip and dolphin-watching are also included.
The intern will be required to feed the residents of the Marine Turtle Rescue Centre, clean their tanks, watch during surgeries, and help on rescue missions.
They will also be responsible for giving guests information on the project, attending presentation evenings and posting on the project’s social media accounts.
