Watch: Swiss trains contain playgrounds
Switzerland’s trains have a well-earned reputation for cleanliness and punctuality, but did you know that they are super child-friendly too? Swiss national rail operator SBB introduced on-board playgrounds for children under the age of six in its coaches last year. This will no doubt make rides smoother for both parents and children.
These playground-holding trains are especially good for passengers travelling to the airport – the trains go to airports in Geneva and Zurich. You can leave your stroller on the lower deck of a playground carriage, while the upper deck holds space for children to roam and play. Inside the trains, children can explore space as an astronaut or experience the world of dinosaurs. The family-themed jungle carriages include a play area with a slide and game boards. Children under six years old ride the trains for free.
