It’s amazing how life can change from one day to the next. Work deadlines and the pressure of juggling attorneys, banks and estate agents as I negotiated the infernal limbo of being between buying and selling a property sent me into meltdown about three days before I left for Zambia.
I was literally crying into my teacup on the Tuesday before I flew to Livingstone, but by Wednesday afternoon I was sipping Mosi beer at a bar in Livingstone in complete denial of any stress. The trip couldn’t have been more perfectly timed, a 10-day dose of all that is good in the world can soothe even the most strung out and Zambia has exactly that to offer: awesome people, amazing wildlife and scenery and magnificent sense of calm amid chaos.
