Super hectic busy getting all my stuff organised for the FTTSA / Getaway trip! Running round in all directions but the more I hear about what I’ll be doing and where I’ll be staying the more excited I get! I just love some of the FTTSA projects – so varied. Much as I love the idea of the travelling I’ll be doing, it’s being involved in these projects that has really got me amped.
I’m particularly looking forward to staying in a Rasta village overnight, volunteering at a few School Support projects, and visiting various craft centres – and all the people I’ll be meeting and interviewing along the way. Not to mention the GREAT photo opportunities this trip will offer. I’m already dreaming about it all!
I think the one experience that I’m the most nervous about is the 3 day hike at the end – one of the days is 20km! Just one day! In the mountains! I love hiking but this will be the longest hike I’ve done and I have to confess I am not at my fittest… but I am also excited at the idea.
Tonight I’m having “Bon Voyage” champagne with my friends, and I’ll be spending the weekend hanging out with my Raph (I am going to miss him SO MUCH!) and packing!
