So you’ve returned from your epic trip and can’t wait to tell everyone about it? It surely must be time for the classic photo-night where you manipulate everyone into looking at pictures of your holiday for hours on end. We’ve all been there, which ever side of the situation you may have found yourself.
Instead of forgetting all those beautiful pictures and memories, or worse – risking losing them when you switch between devices, why not try a more creative approach to make remembering your travels extra fun.
Here are some fabulous ideas that will ensure you keep your precious memories safe forever, and get the most out of your holiday:
1. Print a canvas
It’s been done before, but it really does make for a beautiful decoration. A canvas has stylish feel to it, and will last a long time.
2. Create a photo book
Perfect for any coffee table, a book with each of your photos as a full colour page will keep all your pictures together in one place. You can have a different book for each trip.
3. Pin ’em to a map
Another great way for a more informal setup is to get a cork board or felt-mat map onto which you can pin printed photos. Simply pin your photos around the destination you visited!
4. Create a collage
Dedicate a wall or large frame for all your pictures, and create a funky collage. A nice touch is to form the collage in the shape of the country.
5. Invest in a digital photo frame
If the print life is not for you, why not go the modern way and get a digital photo frame that runs through a slide show? It takes up less space, and displays in vibrant colour and quality.
6. Photo calendar
Many photo-printing companies can print anything you want on a calendar. This way, you can be reminded of your incredible experiences every month!
7.Bake them
Use your pictures to bake cookies! There’s a special kind of edible paper which you can print to decorate your baked treats.
8. Hang them on a string
This might remind you of a university student’s room, but individual photos strung along some string or twine with clothing pegs has become super trendy. You can make it very elegant and classy, too.
9. Use as a wall decal
If you have free space to use on one of your walls, create an incredible full-length decal with your photos. Print them on stickers or even on wallpaper.
10. Get arty
If you’re really proud and want an everyday memento of your travels, print your favourite pictures at the bottom of a tray and pop a sheet of clear glass on top, or print them on a mug. You can also have your pics printed on tote bags or T-shirts.
