Dew Covered Butterfly by Leslie Clemence
Where I stay, we very seldom have mist. But at the top of my bucket-list was to photograph a dew-covered insect, dragonfly or butterfly would do. One morning, my daughter messaged me to say that the open space in Sunridge Park where I like to photograph flowers, was like a fairyland in the mist. I went off to photograph the spider webs, which I thought would be abundant. They were, and after an hour, I was soaked, but happy, so started walking back to my car. Something caught my eye next to the path, and there was this butterfly, covered in dew. And because it was so cold still, the butterfly never moved during the impromptu photoshoot that ensued. It was wonderful!
