The President Hotel, in Bantry Bay will be launching a monthly five-course dinner series to mark the introduction of its new executive chef, Philip Alcock.
Each month’s dishes will be created using seasonally sourced ingredients and paired with local South African wines.
The first of these events takes place on 5 September and the five-course menu will be paired with five wines from Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards, in Franschhoek.

On 26 October Chef Philip Alcock will be joined by Chef Craig Paterson and executive chef and Maître Cuisiniers de France, Bernard Guillas (of the Marine Room in California) for a six-course collaborative meal, which will be paired Anthonji Rupert wines. To add to the evening’s offering, there will be cooking demonstrations by all three chefs.
