What’s more Christmassy than egg nog? In this recipe, the egg nog is turned into a baked custard-type pudding – a perfect Christmas dessert!
Rum egg nog
4 cups whole milk
6 eggs
2 extra egg yolks
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 cup Rum
3/4 cup heavy cream
Whisk eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt until blended, then slowly pour in the milk. Place in a pan on moderate heat , and whisk for 20-30 minutes. Remove from stove and strain into large bowl. Stir in the rum, vanilla, and nutmeg, Let it cool in the fridge for at least four to five hours, and serve with whipped cream.
