Put Foot Rally 2013: The magic of Etosha National Park
Day four of the Put Foot Rally saw teams head to Etosha National Park. Mike Sharman, rally chief Daryn Hillhouse and I ducked around the park this year. We had a lot of ground to cover and to be honest, without the right kit (zoom lenses etc.) I think I would have found Etosha a little more than frustrating. It’s a beautiful park, perhaps one of my all-time favourites. And, as I mentioned last year (My top 20 photos of Etosha), it’s wildlife heaven. Even when there’s nothing around the park feels surreal. It almost feels like you’re on the moon (I imagine) and to it justice requires photographic talent and the right gear. Luckily, Stew Nolan from Team Dtours (check out their blog here) was there and shared these pics with me. They’re rather awesome. Thanks Stew.
