Photoblog: road tripping through Oudtshoorn

Posted by Vuyi Qubeka on 13 January 2016

Known as the ‘ostrich capital of the world’, Oudtshoorn has, well, plenty of ostrich: but it also has absolutely stunning landscapes, nature, and an interesting past and present.

Below is a bit of the beauty I got to enjoy when I travelled there for a guide in our January 2016 issue.

Road tripping makes a lot of sense this side of the world.

The drive to Swartbergpas is very worth it and the scenery is ever-changing but equally pleasing.

I met Sissy the evening before this image was taken at Magic Moments, a teatre dinner experience in her and her husbands home. Her and I halfway up Swartbergpas.

The Cango Caves, are mind blowing and quite moving. You must make an effort to see them - though it's not cheap at R80. Photo by Vuyi Qubeka
