Photo blog: Riemvasmaak in the Northern Cape

Posted by Matt Geeling on 22 May 2012

After a great night and capturing some amazing images at Augrabies Falls we set off early the next morning in search of a little place called Riemvasmaak (a place that I would highly recommend) we had no idea what to expect or how to get there. We stopped off in the afternoon at a place called Die Groot Wit Pan it was a very spontaneous decision between the three of us however it really paid off. We ended up in the middle of no where, there was nothing for as far as the eye could see, a truly beautiful sight.  We then headed on to Riemvasmaak, after an hour and a half of driving into the mountains we were sure that we were lost, to all of our amazement we eventually stumbled across this massive crack in the mountain that open up at the bottom into a magical hot spring. As we were setting up camp for the night, we thought to ourselves, can it get any better?
