It was day four and my team and we had finally arrived at our first really exciting location: Augrabies Falls. Upon arrival we headed straight for the falls. It was a truly spectacular sight to behold. We spent a good hour attempting to photograph the falls only to realize that something of that magnitude could not be captured on camera, one has to see it for themselves. All was not lost as I set out on a photo mission into the bush. I scouted the terrain in search of a great pic, I left no stone unturned until something caught my attention. What may have seemed like a dull rock and an old broken tree trunk to some, was a fantastic image with impact (hidden gem) to me. Later that day my team and I found ourselves spread across the rocky Augrabies landscape each shooting for their own. There was a massive storm moving over us, we had our shirts off covering our cameras from the rain as the lightening and thunder rumbled all around us, it was an extremely dramatic moment. Augrabies falls was brilliant and I now had my first few great shots.
