Nikon’s newest in point and shoot photography equipment

Nikon adds even more power to the Coolpix performance range with two new high-end compacts, the P500 and the P300. Both cameras feature a highly sensitive, back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, so that even in low light or extremely bright conditions, shots are recreated exactly as you saw them. Both models have three-inch LCD monitors and programme, shutter or aperturepriority and manual-exposure modes. When filming in full HD (1080 p) with stereo sound, not only are the optical zoom and auto-focus functions available, but you can also capture a photo at any time. What’s more, a built-in HDMI connector enables you to link directly to an HD-enabled television and view your photos and fi lms with family and friends.

The P300 is a brand new model for the P-series and boasts a newly developed bright f/1.8 wide-angle zoom lens from 24 – 100 mm (35 mm equivalent). From R4 000

The P500 replaces the highly acclaimed P100 advanced bridge camera and packs in an even more impressive zoom range, from 22,5 – 810 mm (35 mm equivalent). From R4 500
