Fishing with the locals of Ibo Island

I think I was the first and only woman to ever be on one of those fishing dows…
It was absolutely amazing to be out there and experience their daily routine of earning a living. None of them speak English, so you have no idea what is going on, and then suddenly one of them jumps of the boat and surfaces a hundred meters away from the boat. This is how they look for schools of fish, unbelievable.
Definitely one of the best shooting experiences. I only had about 1 x 1 meters available to myself for shooting. Luckily the EX1 is a nice compact size so it wasn’t too uncomfortable.
