World’s first 3D-printed resort to open in Mozambique

Kisawa Sanctuary situated on Mozambique’s Benguerra Island – the second largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago – will be the world’s first 3D-printed luxury resort when it opens later this year.

Not all of the construction will be 3D-printed, but innovative technology will be used to combine saltwater and sand into a building material used for the exterior.

The modern interior design will be created using patented 3D-printing technology, used for the ‘property’s flooring, tiles, masonry and other cosmetic design elements’, according to luxurylaunches.com.

The ultra-luxurious property will offer guests a range of facilities including private chefs, four restaurants, a gym and spa, Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, a tennis court and activities like diving and marine safaris. There’ll be electric vehicles and e-bikes available to get around on the island.
