Reviewed: G-Form Xtreme iPad case

Posted by Melanie van Zyl on 5 June 2013

iPads are becoming an integral part of travel these days hosting a camera, GPS and various travel apps. Keep yours protected on your trip with a rugged G-Form Xtreme iPad case.

You’ll want it because of its integrated Reactive Protection Technology (RTP), which will save your iPad from any accidental falls. I found a YouTube video which showed it falling from a distance of 100 000 feet (about 30 480 metres) and since I couldn’t find anybody willing to drop their iPad, this video will have to stand as proof.

The molecular technology present in the case hardens on impact and absorbs up to 94% of said impact. The case is also weather resistant and can stand as an A-frame when the iPad is landscape or portrait orientation.

However, there is no hole in the case to take pictures through, so you’d have to take out the iPad each time you want to take a snap. It’s also not that easy to get the iPad in and out of the cover, which is probably for the best as you need the right protection.

This case is suitable for iPads and other 10-inch tablets (Motorola Xoom, HP TouchSmart, Acer Iconia, and Samsung Galaxy).

Available from Gone Skiing online  and costs about R999.
