The Consol Grip ‘n Go drinking bottles are a good-looking option for sipping your drink when you’re on the go.
This 500ml glass bottle is a more environmentally-friendly option than plastic bottles and adding one to your outdoor kit will greatly reduce the temptation to buy water on the road.
It’s a great size for carrying around with you and has a funky rubber grip that comes in a variety of colours. South Africa has fantatstic drinking water compared to the quality in many other countries, so re-filling a water bottle is far better than buying.

According to the Sunday Times Environmental section,
While plastic is cheaper and more convenient in the short term, glass has long term financial and environmental health benefits. Glass is made from sand. PET plastic is made from fossil fuels, the driving force behind man-made climate change.
I’ve had my own Consol Grip ‘n Go bottle since December and I can confidently say it is leak-proof and convenient. The only hitch is travelling with it in the car because it doesn’t fit into standard cup holders.
You can also fill this bottle with any drink and it won’t retain the smell because it’s made from glass.
