The Red Dot Design Awards acknowledge great products that exhibit superiority in nine areas including innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecology and durability. These cameras got winning acknowledgement from a selection of 4 662 products from 1865 companies in 54 countries across the world.

The Nikon 1 V2 is the world’s smallest and lightest*1 camera equipped with a number of functions that enable better image quality and greater speed, including a new super high-speed AF CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 14.25-million pixels and high-speed AF offering 73 focus points with focal-plane phase-detection AF and 135 focus points with contrast-detect AF, as well as the new EXPEED 3A image-processing engine.

The Nikon 1 J3 is the world’s smallest camera*2 and it supports high-speed continuous shooting. Its continuous shooting rate with focus locked and recording of full-resolution images is approximately 60 fps*3. With AF tracking enabled for continuous autofocusing during shooting, the J3 also supports the world’s fastest*4 high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 15 fps*5. Designed with a metal front cover, the J3 has a very elegant appearance. While the J3 can be purchased alone, a high-power, compact 10× zoom lens kit is also available. The kit lens alone supports wide-angle to telephoto shooting of a wide variety of scenes and is small enough that users can keep the camera and lens with them wherever they go.
The Nikon 1 S1 is the first camera in a new Nikon 1 series developed for those new to advanced cameras with interchangeable lenses. It offers the same high-speed performance and variety of functions that enable certain capture of the perfect moment as other Nikon 1 cameras, as well as a GUI designed for simple, intuitive operation. The S1 and its kit lens are available in five distinct colors, including khaki, to suit a wide variety of personalities and preferences.
