How to enter
1. Send your entries (maximum five a month) with your name, postal address, telephone number and email address to [email protected].
2. Each entry must be accompanied by the camera make, model, lens, and any other applicable information (flash, beanbag, etc). Give your photograph a title and write a short paragraph (no more than 100 words) on how and where you took it.
3. To qualify for inclusion, monthly winners must supply the original image and a high-resolution version when contacted (A3 at 300dpi is ideal).
4. Only photographs that were taken in Africa and its islands will be considered.
5. Images are judged on their technical and artistic merits. We favour natural-looking scenes or objects that have something in common with our editorial subject matter.
6. The Getaway Gallery competition is aimed primarily at promoting amateur photography in Africa. Therefore, Getaway reserves the right to use the images featured on its website and in any compilation publication for no extra payment.
