I was a bear in a previous life, for sure. Come winter, I take to my cave and there’s little that can lure me out. But in the last week Johanessburg weather has improved enough to offer the odd glimmer of hope that spring is on its way. Last Sunday was particularly good so I poked my head out of my shelter to see what the rest of Joburg was up to.
It seems word has seriously gotten out about the Sunday market at Arts on Main. Last time I visited the downtown venue (about six months ago) it was busy, now it’s busting at the seams with everyone enjoying the sunshine with a beer and wholesome takeaway. But it’s really a bit later in the afternoon that the party kicks off when everyone flocks to the nearby 12 Decades Johannesburg Art Hotel. There’s a rooftop bar with DJs on Sunday. Here some photos of my Sunday fun day.
