In the midst of a rhino poaching disaster, we take a look back to a moment captured by Tammy Dennis two years ago when a female rhino brought a baby rhino into the world.
Tammy explains: ‘This photo was taken in Aquila Private Game Reserve on a game drive at 18:00. When we first spotted the female she had 2 feet hanging and we realised the mother was giving birth. The birth took 30 minutes. It was an unforgettable and incredible experience and shows hope for the future of our rhinos.’
It may be a glimmer from the past, but it still gives us hope for the future survival of our rhinos.
