We have exceeded our own expectations by finding our feet in three different African countries.
We have exceeded 6000kilometers on a bicycle, summited the highest peak in Africa and now with two more countries left before rolling back onto home soil of beautiful South Africa, our sole objective now is to complete our last goal.
We set out to raise funds for the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) of South Africa. Our target is set at R100 000.
So far we had one corporate pledge from the Rand Merchant Bank of 1ZAR per kilometer completed per rider. Thus far Marc and I have completed 6680 kilometers setting their pledge at R 13,360.00.
Donations to the NSRI account referenced “Pedal2Peak” is sitting at the sum of R 8927.00. R 3970.00 of that sum was generously raised by friends and family in and around St Francis Bay, special thanks to the Dock of the Bay and The Pink Flamingo Bar for hosting the fundraisers. We thank you all for the efforts made to in the collection of the donations for Sea Rescue.
So the overall sum raised to date is R22 287.00.
We have been assisted by many people and companies in obtaining our goals and we are very grateful for all the hospitality we have been shown while on the road.
We still have around two months on the road till we reach South Africa. We already have several good people who have joined in to help and support us by raising awareness of our goal and helping in the finding more corporate donators who could step up and challenge us with a pledge. We do understand that times are hard, but every little donation will accumulate to eventually make a difference.
We are proud of our Facebook followers and are happy to see our number of members getting higher. We are now 406 members strong. If every member donates we will make a difference, tell your friends to join and we could change the world by means of the strongest and most popular social network online.
We need your help for this task as we will be pushing pedals home.
We are on our way home so keep us in good spirits while letting everyone know about the Pedal2Peak Charity Cycle Tour and NSRI. Drop us a mail to motivate or if you have any questions at [email protected] or join our Facebook group and follow the tour.

It only takes one wrong decision at sea to cause distress. The ocean is unforgiving. Remember the volunteers risking their lives for those in peril. You never know when they could be saving you.
Yours Thankfully
