The Cape Town food scene is about to get a shake-up. From 7 June this year, the GOODFood market will be open for business, offering a number of unique food experiences all from local foodies.
This food experience is modelled on a ‘food hall’ concept, and is not your average neighbourhood market. The ever-trendy and vibey Woodstock is bound to stamp some of its local flavour on this food bar as well, being a hub frequented by creatives and young people.
It’s not just food on offer, but beverages as well, and you can bet there’ll be a host of craft distillery drinks from industry experts at the GOODBar to complement the local food offeringr. The GOODFood hall will also have its own GOODCoffee, and you’ll be able to pop in at any time of the day from breakfast to lunch and right through to dinner.
GOODCoffee is brought together by the Rosetta Roastery and the Nuude Studio (by Kira Le Pine Williams of BeetBox) will offer cold-pressed juices and smoothies.
‘Each drink is assembled with attention to detail; each ingredient being present and noticeable,’ says Angelique Smith, Head of Food & Beverage Operations.
The GoodFood hall is the product of People of Good collective is modelled on a concept of honest, and sustainable, environmentally-conscious business practices that impact communities in a positive way.
GOODFood will be introducing:
– Vagabond Kitchens
– Woodlands Eatery Express
– Salushi Express
– No Fixed Address
– Truck Norris
– Gourmet Grubb
– Woodstock Waffles
– Prashad Cafe
– GOODBar
– GOODCoffee
– Low Impact Living (zero-waste grocer)
This latest food venture comes from the People of Good collective, who believe in creating a ‘post-consumerism’ food experience centred on wellbeing. The GOODWoodstock experiential food hall will be open from 7am to 9pm every week from Monday to Saturday. Walk into this foodie experience at the Iron Works Building, 187 Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock, Cape Town.
