Events cancelled across the country

As the coronavirus sweeps through the country, various activities have been cancelled. This includes travel tours, sports events, business meetings and entertainment events. If you planned on attending any of the following festivals or visiting these attractions, you’re out of luck for the time being.

Cape Town:

Groote Post Country Market

The event of Sunday, 29 March is cancelled, with no postponed date announced.

Harvest fesitval

The event of Saturday, 28 March is cancelled, with no postponed date announced.

SA Cheese festival

The festival from Saturday 25 to Monday 27 April is cancelled, with no postponed date announced.

Corona Sunsets Festival

The event of 28 March will be postponed, with the dates soon to be announced.

Cape Town International Jazz Festival

The festival of 27 and 28 will be postponed, with no dates announced yet.

Cape Town Carnival 

The event of 21 March is cancelled, with no postponed date announced.

Kirstnebosch National Botanical Gardens Earth Hour

The event of 28 March has been cancelled, with no postponed dates announced.

The Fugard Theatre

All shows are cancelled until further notice.

The Baxter Theatre

All shows are cancelled until further notice.

 

KwaZulu-Natal:

Splashy Fen

Dates for the festival have been moved to 23 September to 27 September.

Hartley Fair 

The event of 5 and 6 April is cancelled, with no postponed dates announced.

 

Gauteng:

Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival

Dates for the festival have been moved to 5 and 6 September.

Warriors Arms Club Market
