Python eats an entire wildebeest calf
Posted on 13 December 2012
That is quite a mouthful. Rudi Hulshof was conducting a safari in Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Waterberg when he came across this python attempting to eat an entire wildebeest calf.
Rudi says, “I was alerted to a disturbance by snorting impalas, and went on foot to investigate, hoping to find a lion or a leopard. After no luck, I turned to return to my car and this four-metre long python caught my eye. I ran back to my safari vehicle to collect my camera and my guests, so that we could all experience this once-in-a-lifetime sighting. The fast-setting sun made it necessary for us to return to the vehicle much too soon.”
