Backroading the Cederberg
I’ve just been trekking in the Cederberg, researching March’s cover story. These sandstone crags are probably South Africa’s friendliest mountains.
You can walk for days on easy hiking trails, camp out in caves and explore sensational Bushman rock art sites. Another plus, is the many roads that reach some of the remotest hamlets. This makes the ‘berg’ a marvellous realm for the 4×4 enthusiast. Here are some pics showing the back roads that snake into these enchanting mountains…
