Meet the crazy photographers who swim next to volcanoes
Best friends CJ Kale and Nick Selway are daredevil photographers. They swim in 43° degree water, brave breaking waves and lava bombs (yes, lava bombs) and hike volcanic rock edges to get the perfect shots of an active volcano on the Hawaiian shoreline.
The video below takes you behind the scenes of the the two photographers in action. Often returning battered and bruised, photographing an active volcano is not an easy task, the dangers of breaking waves in the sea or lava rocks hurtling towards you on land is a reality. However the duo are former rescue swimmers and are aware of all the dangers. To see some of their photography head over to Lava Light Galleries
